About Private School Axis Axis is a 501(c)( 3) nonprofit company that companions with Los Angeles area independent institutions to develop paths for underrepresented trainees and households of color to gain access to, browse, and grow in private education and learning. Independent colleges do not accurately stand for the total Los Angeles population, where over 70% of citizens are individuals of color. With our Axis cohorts, we sustain trainees and teachers of shade as they access private education chances with our continuous guidance. We also work with Companion Schools across L.A. to make a lasting and transformative impact on their variety, equity, incorporation, and responsibility (DEIA) techniques. By holding colleges responsible for exactly how they come close to and address DEIA, we can achieve far better knowing results for all students while likewise preparing them to become multiculturally experienced citizens.
